Every year millions of people around the world start diets and the majority of them give up within a few days or weeks, leading to feelings of failure and disappointment.

It is easy to start but it takes some mental effort to keep going, but it is easier to stick to your diet if you have had a light bulb moment.

Most people start a diet to lose weight to look better and to feel better about themselves. Unfortunately this only works long term for the most dedicated or the severely vain.

Failures tend to erode our self-confidence making each successive attempt less and less likely to be successful.

The light bulb moment is when you discover a reason for maintaining your diet that is so important that you can overcome all of your past failures and all your subconscious resistance, and simply just turn your diet into a lifestyle.

8 Such reasons as:

  1. A serious health diagnosis.
  2. Feeling left out of some activity because of weight or fitness.
  3. Requirements for a great job.
  4. Revenge
  5. Special occasions.
  6. For a special holiday.
  7. Energy for children or grandchildren.
  8. Fear of aging.

Of course there is one other very important consideration, it is that you have chosen a diet which makes sense, is sustainable and promotes health and not just weight loss. One celebrity lost weight by eating only potatoes for a year but the health consequences would be considerable.

The question is what is your light bulb moment where you realise that if you don’t take action you will lose out, or suffer, or pay a big price. And a simple way to make it stronger is to stack up two or more of these reasons.

Each extra reason will boost your commitment and by the time you get four or more you will have the power to push through any physical or emotional resistance.

The only problem is if we ignore these light bulb moments. Unfortunately this happens all the time, after all by the time a person becomes overweight or unfit they have ignored many such signals.

It is said that for many people the first sign of a heart attack is the heart attack itself. But I would challenge this. By the time of the heart attack there will have been many warning light bulbs, don’t let this happen to you.

1. Pacing Workouts

What is that one thing every parent often does when trying to calm a newborn? It’s pacing around up and down, and guess what you can do a workout out of it.

Obviously, you don’t want to disturb your little one if they are peacefully sleeping, but if they are awake pace around the house holding them. You could also walk around performing lunges or arm raises., as your little one sleeps peacefully in their cot.

2. Doorknob Squats

How many times do you go to check on your baby while they sleep? Turn it into a workout by getting some doorknob squats done.

Every time you check up on your young one, do about five to ten doorknob squats. Work on increasing the number of doorknob squats you do each day, and you will soon be getting a great workout out of it.

3. Baby Bridges

Toddlers need a bit of entertaining, and you could kill two birds with one stone by doing ‘baby bridges.’

This is a recipe of mashed sweet potatoes.

1. Peel the potatoes, and cut into small cubes or slices. Just cook them like you would a regular white potato. Boil them for around 20 minutes, depending on their size, and simply test with a fork to see if they are nice and soft. Drain off the excess water.

2. Once you have drained the water away, melt a little butter, that’s right, butter into the pan you just used to boil them. Many of you might be surprised I am adding butter, as this is supposed to be a diet recipe.

3. Once the butter has melted, simply add the drained sweet potatoes into the pan. Using a potato masher, mash the potatoes in with the butter. You can use up to a stick of butter with this recipe. Add salt and pepper to taste, and even a drop of honey too, but be careful not to make them too sweet.

Are you surprised by this recipe? I bet you didn’t think you would ever see a diet recipe that included butter, and that’s where you have to open your mind and look at different diets. Calorie counting and eating salads might work for a small majority of people, but the vast amount of us, don’t want to use diet plans such as these. a. Sit on a flat bench with a dumbbell in both hands. Extend both arms in front of you with palms facing inward.

b. Without locking your elbows, swing open your arms to your sides and then bring them back to your starting position.

Best Chest Exercise #2: Cable Crossovers

The movement of this machine closely resembles the dumbbell chest fly. Both exercises are good for working your pecs, but the cable crossover offers one advantage from the range of motion. As you reach the middle when you’re doing a dumbbell fly, you’ll find that your pecs get a negligible amount of resistance. However, with the cable cross over, there’s constant resistance even at the point of when your hands are brought together, which gives your pecs a significant amount of resistance.

a. Get in between 2 pulleys, which should be a little above your shoulder height. Hold on to the pulleys, with your palms facing towards the front and elbows bent slightly.

b. Bring your arms your arms together below your chest, and then return to the starting position.

Best Chest Exercise #3: Bench Press

This classic exercise is considered a “best chest exercise” because it’s one of the best at working your upper body. You can even do incline/decline variations to place more emphasis on your upper/lower chest.

a. Lie on a flat bench (or incline/decline if you’re doing a variation). Grab the barbell with your hands being shoulder-width apart.

b. Lift the barbell off of its rest, and then slowly bring it straight down to your chest, and then straight back up. Repeat.

Best Chest Exercise #4: Dumbbell Press

The dumbbell press is a great alternative to the bench press for a chest exercise. Even though the bench press is very effective, a dumbbell press has one advantage in that you can bring them down lower than the barbell (because there’s no bar that’s going to touch your neck). This allows you to workout a larger part of your chest.

a. Lie down on a flat bench (you can also use incline/decline for variation). Grab a dumbbell in both hands. Bend your arms so that you can bring the dumbbells up to your shoulders. Your palms should be facing your lower body.

b. Bring the weights straight up, and then straight back down. Repeat.

Best Chest Exercise #5: Push-Ups

I had to include the push-up; one of the most underrated exercises is also one of the best. You can even do it anywhere and anytime, which is great if you’re in a time crunch. (Plus, it’s free!) Not only that, a push-up has a multitude of variations that can place more emphasis on certain parts of your upper body.

You should know how to do a standard pushup, so I’m going to show you two great chest variations:

Decline Push-Up: Have your feet raised off the ground by placing them on a bench, ball, or any raised surface.

Diamond Push-Ups: Assume a normal pushup position, except place your hands directly in the center of your chest. Open your index and thumb fingers so that both hands will form a diamond together.

Dosage of Glutathione As an Antioxidant and For Whitening Purposes

Glutathione ( pronounced “gloota-thigh-own” ) also known as GSH is the body’s essential health AID –
